Frequently Asked Questions

Absolutely. Many old, outdated conservatory roofs made from glass or polycarbonate allow swathes of heat to escape the home. Leaving your existing conservatory facade untouched, our innovative insulating foil and cladding help to contain this heat and prevent unnecessary energy loss. The result is a more comfortable conservatory all year round and lower energy bills.

We believe our 3-step method is the most simple and effective way of insulating a conservatory roof:

  • Attaching fixings to your existing roof rafter structure, preserving the shape of your existing ceiling and preventing sagging
  • Fitting and sealing our energy-efficient insulating foil
  • Covering the foil layer with high-performance, lightweight cladding

Most old glass and polycarbonate roofs have a life expectancy of at most 20 years. Signs that your roof requires better insulation include:

  • Clear roof panel damage
  • Discoloured appearance
  • Particularly noisy in strong wind or heavy rain
  • The conservatory is too hot in Summer or too cold in Winter
  • Your energy bills are going up

No matter how old your conservatory roof is, it will remain firmly in place with our innovative insulating foil and cladding solutions.

You should always trust a professional to insulate your conservatory roof, rather than do it yourself. This is because:

  • We have access to superior materials with higher-performance standards, such as our accredited super-efficient insulating foil
  • Mistakes could lead to damaging the roof, which will only lead to greater problems, including increased draughts, damage to furniture, and risk of collapse

We have fully optimised our installation process so that a majority of new insulated conservatory roofs can be completed in just one day. That means minimal stress and disruption for you, and more time enjoying your new-look, revitalised conservatory.

The amount of natural daylight in your conservatory will remain much the same once your insulted roof has been installed. The subtle gloss finish to our roofing panels cleverly reflects the light from the windows to keep your room bright and airy. The roof itself reduces the glare from the direct sunlight preventing your room from becoming too hot to sit in during the summer months.

Whilst your new retrofitted internal insulated ceiling has no need for the traditional conservatory roof vents, as all our installations are tailored to your specific requirements. We will be happy to incorporate these into your new insulated system if you would prefer to keep them. Subject to viability.

We use white uPVC cladding with a subtle gloss finish. This light-reflective finish ensures that there is no loss of natural daylight with the addition of the insulated roof.

Our conservatory ceiling solution is designed and manufactured to contour to your existing roof. Our slimline system keeps the overall depth of the insulated ceiling to an absolute minimum. 2 inches / 50mm approximately.

Our professional teams of two work with minimal disruption. There is no need to completely clear your conservatory for work to commence as our teams are happy to help you remove larger pieces of furniture.

Our team can reattach any lights or ceiling fans back into their original place as part of the installation (subject to viability).

Unlike traditional conservatory roofing structures that need ventilation, our thermally insulated system has no requirement for roof vents. In the majority of cases, these are capped off for you as this helps to keep the installation depth to a minimum.
