Step By Step Installation

Step 1
Site Arrival And Initial Inspection

Your existing conservatory poly carbonate or glass roof is checked for minor leaks. These are rectified prior to your insulated ceiling being installed.

NB: Your existing conservatory roof will need to be in generally good order to have an insulated ceiling installed. One of our friendly advisors would be pleased to give you best advise if you have any doubts.

Options: Privacy Tint available for glass roofs so the insulation cannot be seen from the outside.

Step 2
Cutting And Fixing The Treated Timber Battens

A treated timber sub frame is installed directly onto the underside of your existing roof beams, using treated timber roofing battens. Our experienced and qualified installation engineers have great expertise in installing insulated ceilings and take great care to make sure all the battens are carefully cut to size for a perfect job.

NB: Cross ventilation holes are drilled through the existing ring beam to eliminate any possibility of condensation.

Step 3
Installing TLX Multilayer Quilted Insulation

Unique Multi layer insulated quilt is installed to cover the entire underside of the conservatory ceiling. This unique, total energy efficient quilt, is designed specifically for insulating conservatory roofs and is fully compliant with building regulations, fire retardant and certificated.

NB: The multi layer insulation quilt produces a U Value of 0.18, which dramatically reduces heat build up during the Summer and heat loss during the Winter

Step 4
The Second Layer Of Treated Timber Battens

A second treated timber subframe is installed which will provide the secure fixing for the insulated PVCu shiplap cladding that will form the beautifully crafted internal ceiling.

NB: Your new insulated conservatory ceiling will follow the exact contours of your existing conservatory roof. An insulated ceiling is approximately 5cm deep, so you will lose hardly any head room.

Step 5
Cutting And Fitting The UPVC Cladding

Our expert installation team will create a stunningly visual internal ceiling with PVCu shiplap cladding. This ceiling will follow the existing pitch and design of your current roof to maximise headroom and also maintain the feel of your conservatory.

NB: You may wish to have LED Lighting installed as an added option.
